Developing Models Of Lay Chaplaincy

In Primary and Secondary Schools

Model 1 - Priest led Chaplaincy

Model 2 - Lay Chaplain full or part time

Model 3 - Lay Chaplain and pupil chaplaincy team (Secondary)

Model 4 - Lay Chaplain and pupil chaplaincy team (Primary)

Over the past two years EducareM has been developing some new and exciting models of Chaplaincy in schools.  This development involves the appointment of Chaplaincy teams comprising of pupils and adults in both primary and secondary schools.

Processes and procedures are now well established for the following:

  • Role descriptions
  • Selection and appointment
  • Training
  • Commissioning by the diocese
  • Ongoing support in the development of the Chaplaincy Development Plan.

EducareM is very happy to assist schools who wish to be part of this initiative and offer training and support.
